I ran this solo for the first time in 2017, it was my first 24 hour event and I loved it from start to finish.

The whole atmosphere of the event is amazing and the support is second to none, from spectators, marshals and other runners.

It's like a festival with less STDs and totally different white powders being passed around.

At first glance the route looked uninspiring but the out and backs made this event special, you were never alone even at 2 in the morning and having runners running toward you was great for support even if they did blind you occasionally with a head torch. The last KM is awesome the support as you run around the camping field is epic.

The race village had great food that wasn't too expensive and a small selection of traders.

I'd thoroughly recommend this event to any runner whatever standard, there were people running their first 10km to the winning soloist smashing over 200km!

If this isn't on your list for 2018 grabs some mates and get signed up.

Just a few negatives, mainly for the race organiser. The race briefing was a little hard to hear in the crowd, possibly invest in a louder PA system. Also, the t-shirts were a little on the snug side and I'm 60kg wet through.
