Ran on the solo event again this year, having had the weather mess up my plans last year I was determined to get to my target of between 10 and 12 laps, unfortunately for me my feet gave out after 5 laps so had to call it a day after 6 laps, disappointing but hay hoe, the only down aidecforcme was the massage tent being shut at 2.30am and no or very low level music in the morning and only untill 10.30pm on the Saturday, disco corner seemed a bit flat as well this year. However my only deduction on score forcthis year was the massage tent issue and music other than that a fabulous event as always keep up the good work.

I loved everything about this event!! I have never done anything like this before so was very nervous and single runner but I can’t wait to do it all again next year! My family and friends also loved it!! Very well organised, night time run was my favourite considering I was nervous being a female on my own I felt very safe along the course ✅ have recommended this race to lot of people!!

This is a very well organised 10k race that you can run as many times as you like in 24 hours. It is very team/relay focused and the changeover pen and information about approaching runners seemed very slick. I can see why 10k relay teams rate it highly and come back each year. For solo runners, it would be good for you if you want to try an ultra-marathon distance but have only done 10k and half-marathon events and/or like to have other runners near you (e.g. for safety) particularly at night. If you like ultra-marathons where you don't see another soul for miles but then arrive at an aid station with a feast of food laid out and a nice cup of tea made for you, you'll be sorely disappointed. The course is relatively busy for the first half at least, with an influx of runners at 8pm for a night 10k. The rules ask for no more than 2 abreast as there are several out and back sections, but when you have two angels running side by side and a fast 10k team member flying by, there can be some close shaves and a fair bit of weaving in and out of groups. In many ways this reflects the inclusive nature of the event, which is to be commended, and the event will suit many, but it wasn't my scene at all. It does say in the FAQ that the only nutrition included in the fee is water and they are not joking, so bring your own refreshments or expect to pay £2.50+ for a cup of tea £10+ for a jacket potato. Good quality and reasonable prices for festival van outlets, but if like me you don't have a camping stove or support team, you'll need deep pockets to sustain yourself for 24 hours. This was my third 24 hour event and the most expensive (based on next year's prices) but it didn't offer me anything that the other events didn't have other than an illuminated castle on a hill.

This event continues to be the most anticipated race on our calendar each year. It offers such a variety of challenges in a massively well organised and supportive environment. The shops, food and entertainment are always spot on, the event staff and volunteers are the best around, organisation is perfect every time and the atmosphere is the best of any event I've ever done despite having done much larger participation events in major cities. It is what all other events of it's kind should aspire to be.

This is such a well organised event! Myself and a friend went to support our friend who was a solo runner. We volunteered twice and the experience is fantastic. The site is lovely, not overcrowded at all. Toilets were nearly always clean with paper and soap and water. Can't comment on the showers but our runner said they were clean and warm. Laura and Jonny are so friendly and really helpful. All the staff are brilliant! Food is good in the race HQ and drinks reasonably priced.
