← Yorkshire Marathon

On the whole I loved the event, couple of things to work on in terms of organisation, mainly signage around the university for runners and spectators should be more prominent and there should be more of it, I followed the only sign I found for zone 2 start and it took me to zone 5. The out and back in the second half of the race is a killer, not sure what could be done about that in terms of the route but it gets to you mentally. The course itself is largely flat and rural apart from the start and finish. Support was great in York and the outlying villages, I loved the high fiving vicar and archbishop. As a first marathon it will live long in the memory.
