A lovely day out up to London for the Classics Swim Serpentine.

Easy to get to and well presented. Great changing facilities pre race abd then a straight forward (but sadly slow) check in process. 

The water was very cold and certainly busy too - lots of people of differetn abilities all in together so even though I am not a great swimmer I was always looking not to swim into anyone.

2 lasp of the mile circuit and a few cramp isses had me holding on to a safety canoe for a couple of minutes. Very helpful team to help pull you out though at the end.

A quick hot tub which was very welcome even only for a few minutes. 

And then THAT medal - just wow! The classics medal at half a kilo in weight was worth it all.

Lovely warm changing tents and a great chance to catch up with friends after. 

A memorable (but cold) day with an awesome medal at the end.

And so nice to see all the #Visorclub buddies too and esp K and A when they finally returned to the brilliant flag!
