← AJ Bell Great North Run
This was my 5th attempt at the Great North run & yes it is a 5 hour round journey from my house & yes it is very busy & yes there are some nasty little hills but this is & has been my favourite half marathon. If you are going to one half marathon then this is the one to do as it has everything. The course doesn't really matter as the crowds are superb & never filter out along the course. The last mile along the seafront is something special. I always wanted to say my half marathon PB was at the GNR & I managed this with a time of 1 hour 29 minutes 9 seconds. I'm not entering next year but will certainly watch on TV & will be thinking this is the best half marathon I have ever taken part in
