This event has a 10k and HM option. I've done the 10k once and the HM twice before. This year I chose the 10k option.

There was a course change due to major road works so it meant the whole race would be out & back along New Brighton prom. I do love the area but I find running on long, flat straights quite difficult!! I wasn't overly excited to be doing this race to be honest but it's my home event and I do it every year!

However, the change in route meant that runners were doubling back as others were still running out and I really enjoyed seeing and cheering on my club mates, parkrun friends & of course my team green legends, Jay, Brian and Jon. This motivated me and pushed me on! 

Parking was easy, the race got off on time and most of the marshals gave a clap & a cheer. Over all a well organised event. 

Always a great medal and Tshirt and we  got crisps and fruit pastilles in the goodie bag! Winner!!
