Excellently organised as usual from BTR. A flat, out and back course, all tarmac and ideal for a PB attempt, weather permitting. The out and back nature may not suit all but I personally enjoyed seeing so many parkrun friends out on the course and giving / receiving encouragement...

Definitely one to add to the calendar for next year, unless I upgrade to the half!

I did the Wirral 10k for the second time this year. 2017 had been my first 10k and, this year, I was glad to see that the great atmosphere and good organisation I’d appreciated last year were more than first-timer impressions. Movement and parking around the start were easy, there was plenty of room to warm up and there were lots of toilets. Now that I’ve been running for longer, it was really nice to see lots of people from my local parkrun, which is also the nearest parkrun to this event. The course was, as I remembered it - flat, safe and smooth, and there were out and back views of Liverpool and the River Mersey. The out and back course means that you are never running alone and you can look out for people you know. I prefer a ladies T shirt, but the unisex one from this race is, for the second year running, a good T shirt that I will wear. I’m lucky my local race is so good.

This was my first Wirral Half marathon but have previously completed BTR events before and the Liverpool Half earlier in the year. The course is excellent and they have nailed on a great way to keep the roads mobile but a great course with only one 'out and back' right at the start - which was great as could easily see the leaders. Only minor point was the organisers didn't produce a detailed map of the route anywhere linking to actual roads/paths. So was difficult to tell friends/family where to spectate or go. The only route map produced didn't have a background or any detail. Other than that, great! Nice t-shirt and medal. Would recommend.

The half covers both ends of the prom which I run regularly. I like that I get to see friends through out this race and can give them a cheer. Lovely views across the Mersey and always a good medal & T shirt. A well organised event with friendly marshals.

Great out and back course with views across the Mersey of Liverpool. Did the 10K course and everything OK although the start was a bit muddled. Good event parking and easy to get to. Would recommend doing as a good race to get a PB

My first ever 10k so I chose this as it has a flat out and back route I'm familiar with as a local. A great experience (except for that headwind at the end - phew that was a surprise and not the fault of the organisers!) and some great support from fellow runners and the Marshalls. Great views across the Mersey and with plenty of room for those needing to pass us slower runners. And I certainly was one of the slowest 10k runners, crossing the finish line as some of the fastest 1/2 Marathon finishers were coming in, so I got to enjoy the cheers probably really aimed at them! I'll definitely do this run again and aim to improve upon my time.
