Well what can I say? First time for this race and what a fantastic event from initial booking (and cost!) through all information from Graeme ahead of the event and the race itself. One of my all time favourites of any  distance (6 time 70.3 finisher)

The race itself, extremely well organised, brilliantly marshalled, very well signed and a fantastic friendly event for all whether tri newbies or age groupers looking for a PB.

The lake is beautiful and with a well marked swim course, friendly helpful hands to pull you out the water, easy transition onto the 2 lap course fast and flat save for a couple of testing hills at the turn around point on each lap. Lots of encouragement from the numerous marshalls and all road juctions supervised soem from the local police force.

Great crowds cheering you off the bike into T2 and out onto a mixed terrain 3 lap run, with feed stations perfectly positioned to help you around the course. The finishing straight was a welcome site and made you feel like a professional as you ran down the red carpet to the finish.

Grame is a fantastic organiser in chief with a fantastic team behind him. Completed teh race with some friends,2 of us did the full event and three the relay. We will certainly be back next year and who knows we may be able to convince our wives and partners who spectated this year to enter the relay!

PS Great goody bag too: tee-shirt, medal, 2 pairs of socks and a snood!! (again Ironman take note!!)
