← Vitality London 10,000

This was my first event in London and I was running it for prostate cancer. It was a very enjoyable day, the atmosphere was great and all the runners very friendly. Having start pens was bliss, as it avoided runners weaving in and out at the start. The route was unique to what I've done before but I didn't notice too much of it because of concentrating on the race.

I have heard a couple of runners didn't get heir medal at the end, due to the organisers running out. They have since been sent their medal so it was cleared up pretty quickly.

The support around the course was really nice and the event didn't feel overloaded with runners, even with over 12,000 participants.

The minutes silence at the start to remember the Manchester and London victoms was  impeccably observed which was a spine tingling moment.

I enjoyed the even so much I'm travelling down again for it next year.
