Good course but a few bottlenecks - due to number of people on course started in 10 waves over 1.5 hours (not ideal if running at different pace to friends/family). There was also a very unclear sign up form which asked if you'd like to support a 'Celebrate You' movement (without explaining the implications) and I was put in the final wave of the race (10 out of 10). No accountability or flexibility shown by organisers to move me to an appropriate wave (should have been approx. 3/10 based on my predicted finish time). When I realised what had happened, I was not able to speak to customer services on the phone to explain situation and eventually after a number of emails they said they couldn't move people between waves under any circumstances (despite issue being due to their sign up form). Was very disappointed because of high cost of event, unclear form and impact on ability to reach a personal best.

Great event, vast improvements on last year in terms of bib collection etc. The course itself is a good one with being pretty much out and back, it was well supported and the volunteers were great as they always are at these events. Only one slight bottleneck at the start which...

Great event, vast improvements on last year in terms of bib collection etc. The course itself is a good one with being pretty much out and back, it was well supported and the volunteers were great as they always are at these events. Only one slight bottleneck at the start which made it tight when just getting into your rhythm but other than that well supported and the medal was decent too.

Great event and great organisation for such a large scale event with 20,000 runners. Course has a few turns, mainly on the way out, but is quick on the right day. Lots of facilities and toilets. Was a bit challenging getting from St.James Park across the course to Green Par...

Great event and great organisation for such a large scale event with 20,000 runners. Course has a few turns, mainly on the way out, but is quick on the right day. Lots of facilities and toilets. Was a bit challenging getting from St.James Park across the course to Green Park, but I made it eventually after many of the staff weren't sure of the way in.

First timer for this event. Well organised from the point of view of receiving info ahead of the day. envelope with bib/chip etc got a bit bashed through the post and clearly says about not bending it... maybe a card-backed envelope?? fortunately mine still worked despite a bit of visible creasing on the chip timer. Great course with plenty of pre-warning about tight corners, however there were a lot of people much slower than me in waves which started before mine (we caught them up) and i ran to the time i'd set on my entry... so either people lied about how fast they'd be or started in the wrong wave somehow. The biggest question i have is that my watch, my running buddies watch and other people i checked with, all tracked the distance at 6.4 miles which, as we know, 10k = 6.2 miles.... so either i ran the course on the widest possible route which added 320m to my total distance (unlikely) or the route is longer than 10k...

Organisation wise, definitely learned a lot from last year. I had to pick up a new bin the day before (not the organiser’s fault, our postman rammed the envelope containing it through the letterbox so aggressively that it mashed my original number - one suggestion to the organise...

Organisation wise, definitely learned a lot from last year. I had to pick up a new bin the day before (not the organiser’s fault, our postman rammed the envelope containing it through the letterbox so aggressively that it mashed my original number - one suggestion to the organiser though, maybe try to make race packs thinner) which was very easy. Great event village - even hung around a bit after collecting my number the day before for the cheese toasty stand. Race day itself also very well organised. Gathering the pens together in the park and walking then down to the start worked much better than last year’s free for all. And impossible not to give an event 5/5 that allows you to run through the closed streets of central London.

This year's event was very well organised. The volunteers were enthusiastic and very encouraging - even with the threat of rain that never materialised, they were fantastic. The course itself was very good. There are several tight corners and bottlenecks which can be difficult to navigate with so many participants. All in, a great race, a fantastic day. Highly recommended.

Shambolic. No bib in the post. Got very lucky and beat the massive rush to get my replacement bib. Waves were a nonsense - I was placed in Women's running wave despite not being eligible in a fairly obvious way. Crush type situation getting onto the Mall. Immediate narrow point coming off the Mall. Wave mess meant there were people walking in front of me pretty much from Trafalgar Square on. Never ever passed so many people in 10k - constant weaving and dicing with turning an ankle hopping on and off pavements and around barriers. Fine if you want to jog slowly around central london and stare at the sights - terrible if you want to run 10k in any kind of a sensible fashion
