Lovely route around Richmond Park. Nice to run past deer and some tree surgeons up in the trees!

The route was more undulating then I was expecting, but anyone who knows Richmond Park wouldn't be surprised - although the big hill at 6.5miles still wouldn't be welcome.

It has the potential to be a very fast course, I was 20 sec off a PB and it was a very hot day.

The support was good in small patches and empty in others. I'm used to running on my own so I'm ok with that, but the crowds are nice when you are flagging.

The water stations offered just water in cups except one which was also giving out strange chewy things. The water cups got emptier as the distance went on, the last one gave me a cup which was less than a third full. That particular station was on the outside of a bend well off the racing line but no one had thought to move to the other side.

The biggest down was the shambolic organisation of the start. We were called to our start pens then they delayed the start but there were no speakers near the  pens so runners had no idea what happened. Then there was a further delay for a minutes silence which we didnt know about because of the lack of speakers plus the kids entertainment was right next to us and very loud!

To add to the poor organisation and lack of water, the cost was much higher than I would normally consider for a race. I can't see myself going back to this one again.
