What's to say - it's the London Marathon - it's an institution and it is superbly organised, from the emails in advance, to the race pack, to moving around London on race day itself, right down to collecting your medal and bag at the finish. I cannot fault the organisational team at all.
It is an expensive race to do if you do not get a GFA place, but I chose to run for charity which meant I had a wonderful experience regardless of the additional cost and effort required from me (I would highly rate Seafarers UK as a charity by the way - their support was excellent, and the marathon afterparty on the Thames was superb!)
The course, although not beautiful, does have a range of attractions to look at and is completely unique, but it is the overall experience of completing this iconic event that makes it worthwhile doing.
