This is one from the bucket list, without a doubt. 

The London Marathon organisers do a fantastic job ~ the 'meet the experts' day and expo were excellent preparation for my first marathon, and the information provided overall, the organisation on the day and the goody bag are spot-on. 

My only gripe (aside from the difficulty of getting a place in the first instance!) is that the sheer number of people taking part meant I spent a lot of time trying to find a way to overtake slower runners, finding gaps between people, avoiding people that suddenly stopped in front of me and the bottle-necks caused by spectators in just a few areas encroaching onto the road to spot their loved ones.  Could maybe do with double the amount of portaloos every 2 miles (particularly prior to 20 miles) to reduce the number of minutes added onto a person's chip time for a call of nature, which can hardly be avoided under the circumstances.
