First half Ironman and I really enjoyed it :) the swim was a bit swampy but to be expected with how dry it’s been; the cycle was gorgeous, my favourite part (all the castles!). The run is tough - quite a lot of grass and gravel which was pretty energy sapping in the humidity but extremely pretty. Only annoyance was one right turn on the bike which was easy to miss - marshalled but the guy was just sitting down, not actually directing people (very well). But all in all, great value and a great course!
Congratulations on your first Half Iron distance, Liz! Thank you for your feedback and we are very glad you enjoyed your race and it's surroundings! - Castle Race Series - Castle Race Series
