← Clumber Park Duathlon
My second year at this sprint distance duathlon & didn't disappoint. Nice location, generally pleasant atmosphere with good mix of competitors. The undulating run was harder than I remembered & although the wind had dropped it was still strong enough to make life difficult on the home stretch back in the grounds of Clumber Park. Some road surfaces less than ideal but we all experience that on most rides/events & not too much traffic to contend with. There was a 10 minute delayed start, perhaps due to the number of later arrivals? Not sure, but no big issue for me as was fairly mild so not stood freezing! Also problem with the official timings but again of no great concern, satisfied, delayed gratification to find out that I'd slightly improved upon last year's time :-)
