← Winter Windsor Duathlon
this was my first proper duathlon, and certainly a good route. The registration was simple, all set up in a tent, race brief was basic, but not much more was needed. It's a lapped route around Dorney Lake. Not the most exciting route, but it's a good course to go all out. Not real criticism is the cycle route had a lot of debris and I saw many out owing to punctures. I turned up in my entry level bike, and this course clearly attracts the big dogs in their super fast bikes.
Support was minimal, just those you brought with you, and aid station was very basic.
In summary I enjoyed the event and would do it again. It's a good course to go all out and test yourself on the flat. A really friendly atmosphere with friendly RD and crew. What more can you ask for in a pre season warm up.
