← Royal Parks Half Marathon

I have run the Royal parks half marathon 5 times, but this is the first time j have run as a #visorclub member. I have paced this event for the last 4 years and it is genuinely my favourite half marathon, and I've done a few.

the event is a 9 am start, so logistics of getting there will be difficult if you live outside of London, actually event if you do live in London. But once you get there there event village is amongst the best I've seen, and with 16,000 runners there is a buzz in the air.

The crowd support rivals London marathon, which is impressive for a half. The event takes you through beautiful parks and past the main attractions in central London.

there is very little to complain about. I think the mile markers were slightly too long, but that's not unusual, but the event was well supported, well marshalled and an absolute pleasure to pace.

the event goody bag is probably one of the best you will ever see, but is somewhat overshadowed by the unnecessary long queues to collect your bag. This really needs to be addressed to make this the perfect event.
