This is my 3rd time running the 60k and the event improves every year. With Covid-19 restrictions the organisers did a great job just to get the race going but they did it safely and kept the race atmosphere. Despite the staggered start you were never on your own for long and there were many more supporters out on course this year - someone even had setup  their own aid station outside their house!

The route is always very well marked and hard to get lost, except for a sign just before the finish which had been moved and was pointing the wrong way, but that happens sometimes. There is a good mixture of terrain and scenery from hilly trails to sand, to flat tarmac, fields, and canal paths. 

It is quite an expensive race but you do get free race photos, a decent medal, and a buff, plus a good variety of food at aid stations. The watermelon is always welcome!

I would like if the ultra had live tracking so that spectators can follow progress on a map.

Overall a great event. I find it a perfect test of fitness and I'll keep coming back every year to see if I can beat my time.
