We teamed up with ULTRA magazine again to bring you The Fox Ultra. A 60km circular ultra run route around Guildford.
The route will be fully marked and offer 5 aid stops along the Fox Way. This scenic circular course was devised by Richard Fox, an avid local walker who was amazed by the beautiful and varied countryside he found along the route. Keen to share his findings, Richard set about signing and publicising his "Fox Way."
Relay - 3 person team with sections of 19.5km, 21.8km and 21.2km
Individual - 42km or 21km run. 10 am time-trial starts

Our charity partner is The Meath Epilepsy Charity which you can make a donation to when registering online for the race.
The Meath has supported people living with complex epilepsy and associated disabilities for over 125 years. Following their last unannounced inspection, the Meath joined the top 1% of care homes to receive an 'Outstanding' CQC rating. The Meath take great pride in providing the best quality of life possible in a homely, yet highly professional environment. Residents are encouraged to fully embrace opportunities as members of their local community. The friendly staff teams assist residents to manage their epilepsy, gain valuable vocational and everyday life skills and to live fulfilled and healthy lives as independently as possible.

On event day, 27th April...
60km participants register in the Godalming United Reformed Church. Collect your timing strap and race number.
42km register at St Mary the Virgin Church Aid Station (GU3 3RE) 10 am time-trial starts.
Relay leg 2 participants register at the St Mary the Virgin Church Aid Station (GU3 3RE) and await their relay leg 1 runner there.
21km register at Clandon Train Station Car Park (Clandon, Guildford GU4 7UB). 10 am time-trial starts for 21km runners. The start is a 0.9km walk/jog from Clandon Train Station nr Lime Grove.
Relay leg 3 participants register at the Clandon Train Station Car Park (Clandon, Guildford GU4 7TN) and await their relay leg 2 runner there.
The 60km event start/finish is close to Godalming train station which has a reliable and a frequent service from London or cycle to the start and get a free bike saddle cover.
42km, 21km and relay participants are requested to avoid leaving cars at their start locations and to share lifts wherever possible.
Parking in Godalming Crown Court Car Park. £4.90 for 6 hours, up to £9.00 for 10 hours.
There is no parking at the Godalming Reformed Church.
Runners are asked to share lifts or travel by public transport wherever possible.
Bag storage is available within the Godalming United Reformed Church for Ultra and 1 leg relay runners. For those starting from St Mary the Virgin Church and Clandon Train Station there will be an event vehicle at your start which will be at the Godalming finish line when you finish. There is space for one small bag each only.
Relay leg 2 runners from St Mary the Virgin Church and relay leg 3 runners from Clandon Train Station need to make their own arrangements for any kit with team mates.
WHAT TO WEAR
Check out the great kit from our prize sponsors Salming and Trekking and Outdoors in Shere. You'll need sturdy worn-in trail shoes, a backpack with extra layers, waterproof, charged mobile phone.
A fully marked circular course from Godalming, clockwise through the villages of Shackleford, Normandy, Worplesdon, Ripley, Shere and Wonersh.
Terrain: 30% road / 70% trail
Equivalent flat distance: 63.8km
10.5 hour cut off.
The majority of the route is marked with Fox Way signs but the route will deviate from the Fox Way for short sections and also be signed throughout with additional signage.
5 aid stations on route. There will be additional cut offs along the route at each feedstation allowing a minimum pace (including time at feedstations) of 10.5 minutes per kilometer.
Medics on the course and present at the start/finish. You will be given a contact mobile number prior to race day. If you or a fellow runner suffer an injury which requires medical attention then call and medics will be dispatched. If the injury is sever please call 999 and then inform event control.
Timing from EMIT. A chip in wrist strap.
Toilets will be available at the start/finish and along the course at feed stations.
Water available at feed stations on course.
Water, flat coke, a lot of food types including salty snacks, water melon, vegetables and dips, peanut butter dip and much more. Kombi Keg will be providing pints of beer/cider and glasses of prosecco at the finish line for £3.
Head torch, mobile phone, running shoes
Key kit - sturdy trainers, appropriate running gear - dress for the weather, waterproof jacket, suitable water bottle, warm hat and gloves. You must carry at least 500ml of water, charged mobile phone (with the number of event control in it), emergency numbers for The Fox event team, any additional nutrition you may require, a waterproof and first aid kit.

Fantastic event, my first ultra and I will definitely be back next year. perfect signage, no chance of getting lost. Great aid stations, and verything you could want. possibly my favourite event ever!
