This race was one of the hardest courses out there. Most triathlons brag about being the hardest however, the Bastion quietly slips its self in there near the top with out too much bragging. The race was a relaxed build up (but still safe obvioulsy) so good for first timers or people who dont like the big hype that comes from some of the other races that are around. A beautiful swim in the lake that has an interesting course that you do have to sight along but the water is so calm it makes it an easy swim to sight on. The bike course is a 3 x 60k beautiful hilly course. It was about 1000m of climbing each lap so all together adds up to 3000m by the end. If you are looking for a tough marathon at the end this one is for you. The run course twists and turns through forrest and feilds with some good thigh sapping climbs :) the Organisers were the best ive ever met. they were so so friendly and happy to help the best they could with any thing. The value for money was amazing in comparison to other long distance courses.
