Enjoyed my first race back in my home city of Chester, and managed a 10K PB too. Fast start and not too much in the way of elevation, but a couple of sustained climbs across the course, and a draining final kilometre back into the City centre, including the cobbled section at the finish. Feel as though the route could perhaps take in a bit more of the City, although appreciate the logistical difficulties - as much as it sets off from the Racecourse and finishes at the Cross, this is very much a route which takes in the surrounding area rather than the familiar postcard sights. Decent bag at the end courtesy of the sponsors. Technical t-shirt not the greatest of fabrics for running in, but a good souvenir of the morning.
