I'll start with the main gripe as this is the only negative bit - the parking is shocking!  The event HQ is next to a small housing estate and the roads are narrow so access to the 2 car parks is fairly difficult as the roads get busy.  We arrived 2 hours early and the car parks were already full so we were directed to park on the road, which is difficult as residents (understandably) take up most spaces.  Not the best start to the day!

However, once we were there, the event HQ is well set up.  Plenty of portaloos, a high-tech number collection, well-organised bag drop and well-marked start area (they hid the coffee facilities behind a small building though!).   All the event staff/volunteers were very friendly and helpful.

The event has pacers across a wide range.  There was a big elite entry, so good for star spotting  ;)

The course is described as flat and fast but it isn't completely 'pancake flat' as some are.  There are various ups and downs throughout - though these are mainly over bridges so short inclines followed by similar declines.  The route goes on minor roads through some beautiful countryside.   Lots of locals at various points out to clap and encourage.

Definitely a PB potential course.

The event organisers are taking steps to be more eco-friendly and if you bring your own bottle they will fill it with water and you can collect it at the end of the run from the designated spot.

Really good atmosphere at this event - I would very much recommend it!
