A fast and furious 5 mile event that was definately bigger than last year. The course is pretty much flat all the way round. Local supporters out in their droves cheering runners on. Have to share some of the roads with cars but all seemed okay from my point of view. Start is congested so it takes a while to find your race pace. This was the first year you had to pay for a winners t-shirt but they did give out a medal to all although most seemed to have missed those handing them out! The medal was very good, titanium looking so good quality. amenities at the Leisure Centre were hit and miss. quite a few toilets but in different buildings and big queues for all of them. The Race HQ meeting area was very noisy and it was hard to tell the people handing out the race bibs your name. It's a good race to start your season with.
