Parking is available at the leisure centre right next to the registration hall too, it is also walking distance to start and finish line. Highly recommend.

One of my favourite races as it’s in my home town. A flat and fast course which is well supported by the local residents. Well organised and the finish line takes you into the high school for an off road finish. Would definitely recommend.

The course was fast and flat, perhaps a little boring, especially with a loop that doubled up some parts of course but a huge chance for a 5km or 5 mile PB for sure.

Course wss accurately measured and the local support was great, something I had not even considered before hand but it made for a great atmosphere.

The event was well marshalled and some roads were open in one direction so you were sharing with traffic at times, however I didnt find this an issue and I felt safe throughout. (even when an ambulance with lights came ploughing through!)

Nice medal at the end too! All in all, a good race and great Xmas present....thanks Mum! :-)

A fast, flat race with runners coming from far and wide to be involved.

Route was flat and looped around town. Plenty of support out on course. They were very much appreciated.

Marshall’s did great job keeping traffic to minimum. Always funny to see residents trying to get through 900 runners in a narrow side street.

A medal was introduced this year. Definitely a bonus in my eyes. Tshirts were optional at cost of wanted.

Only issue is the toilets. These are spread in several locations but with only 3-4 portaloos orccubicles in each.

Always a good start to the local season.

A fast and furious 5 mile event that was definately bigger than last year. The course is pretty much flat all the way round. Local supporters out in their droves cheering runners on. Have to share some of the roads with cars but all seemed okay from my point of view. Start is congested so it takes a while to find your race pace. This was the first year you had to pay for a winners t-shirt but they did give out a medal to all although most seemed to have missed those handing them out! The medal was very good, titanium looking so good quality. amenities at the Leisure Centre were hit and miss. quite a few toilets but in different buildings and big queues for all of them. The Race HQ meeting area was very noisy and it was hard to tell the people handing out the race bibs your name. It's a good race to start your season with.

A first 5 mile race for me.

Accurately measured, good local support. Well marshalled.

This really is a fast and flat course with a PB opportunity for 5k or 5 miles!!

2021 return for sure.

Notes, give yourself time to find somewhere to park as it's a little limited.

This will be a yearly race for me :)

A popular flat fast road race ideal for those wanting to push for a PB. First race of the season for many. Well organised with good Marshall support. Fabulous crowd offering lots of encouragement along the way. No medal but a tech T-shirt instead. Tip - get there an hour early if you want to park at the HQ. Overall a good local race which would definitely enter again.
