← Windsor Half Marathon
this is a hilly race! hilier than i expected. traffic is shocking in the area, leave plenty of time, i mean plenty of time, if driving. i had to abandon my car and run to the start, just getting there in time to drop my bag and find my spot in the start chute. not an ideal preparation.
there's a good hill near the start, heading up to the iron duke statue. you do the same hill on the way down to the finish, a loooonnnnng stretch which is much further than it looks at the top of the hill. beware!
overall i enjoyed it, although wasn't prepared for the hills, i struggled at various points, bit of walking required. crowds were sparse, no real encouragement en route.
