The UK's most picturesque half marathon taking thousands of runners around the stunning Windsor Great Park. Part of a weekend festival of running events in Windsor. Hailed as the UK's most picturesque half marathon, this is a race for runners looking for an incredibly scenic run through beautiful, natural surroundings. Set in Windsor Great Park - the only Royal Park managed by The Crown Estate - the Windor Half Marathon will see runners covering hills, traffic-free roads and through the grounds of this lovely location. Highlights Incredibly scenic through natural parkland, with Windsor Castle as the backdrop Undulating course but plenty of flat stretches too - great for a bit of variety or those looking to improve from flat courses Traffic-free roads throughout Start and finish on the famous, tree-lined Long Walk Antiquated landscape packed full of history (King George III helped to develop the park!) Run through the great ancient oak trees for which the park is renowned An amateur-only race with prizes for the winners Music along the course to keep your feet pumping!

Testing and beautiful course around Windsor Great Park with a stunning and iconic finsihing straight down the Long Walk towards Windsor Castle, a view very few other races can compete with.
I have ran Windsor Half Marathon 9 times since 2004 and have only misseed races due to injury and foot and mouth! That risk to the Deer rather than myself having the diease!! I have been fortunate enough to have won on 3 of these occasions. I've returned so many times due to...Read full review
