My third time running this and my second time doing the beautiful 10 mile route which includes a stunning section along a disused railway line. Grimsthorpe is a running gem; the location is stunning and brings together views of a lake, rolling countryside and the disused railway line with wonderful trees. Most of it is on hard track or tarmac so the few more offroadsections are a lovely addition and add variety. Its an undulating course and stays interesting and the finishe outside the house is stunning. Will be back- this is the only race I know where dragonflies and damselflies play around your feet while running....
