A nice event with different distances to choose from. Marshall’s great, good communication from Amanda, lovely location and route- path and trail. Needed a few more toilets and medal a bit disappointing. I would do it again.

Fantastic event despite the hot weather. Well organized with the runners' safety in mind. Marshalls were very supportive and really pleased to see toilets around the route as well as ample aid stations. Thank you.

Beautiful course, tricky terrain in places. Great aid stations, loved the fresh fruit and the Marshalls were very encouraging. However a couple of disappointments….there was only 1 photographer in one spot…at an aid station where you’d slowed down to walk and grab refreshments,...

Beautiful course, tricky terrain in places. Great aid stations, loved the fresh fruit and the Marshalls were very encouraging. However a couple of disappointments….there was only 1 photographer in one spot…at an aid station where you’d slowed down to walk and grab refreshments, so rubbish ‘action’ shots. Also…appreciate everyone is trying to be more ‘green’ with these wooden medals, but it was pretty rubbish, not engraved, just a transfer on it. Also gutted there was no sports massage like at the Longhorn. Needed more toilets near the start.

Well organised event. Well signposted and regular water stations. Water melon was awesome 👌Thanks to all and especially the marshals for their support and also having to stand out in that heat. Really scenic undulating course, not a PB course,not for me anyway 😄

Everybody was really friendly and I enjoyed the water misting on such a hot day. My first ever event and although it was hillier than I am used to it was a really pretty course and well organised. I was supposed to be running canicross with my dog, but I am very pleased that the organisers made the decision to not have any dogs running on the course for their safety in the heat.

Enthusiastic marshals, amazing scenery and having watermelon at the aid stations was perfect on such a hot day made for one of my favourite races ever. If I didn’t live so far away it would be a regular event for me. I only entered because I was visiting people nearby.

10k nordic walker here! First time entering the Grimsthorpe Gallop and despite the sweltering morning it was a really good event. Amanda was on top of everything as usual and wasn't afraid to make amendments due to the forecast in order to put safety first. 3rd time doing this and I just love it. Beautiful surroundings. Multi-terrain. Undulating. Very friendly. Not a PB course but a lovely course nonetheless. My only gripe this year is the medal. In the past the medals were huge and stunning. Today’s medal was wooden & quite mediocre (compared to my other 2 medals from this event).

I'm so glad you enjoyed the course again - thank you for supporting this event. I'm sorry you are disappointed with the medal. We spent time designing the medal with local Lincolnshire butterflies on them that represent the event venue & chose wood as a different material as the design could be so colourful & it is a better choice for the environment as they can be recycled. Although this design was printed onto wood (which is a much lighter material than metal - I know it doesn't feel as heavy) I can assure you that the same thought went into the process to reward you with a momento of your achievement.

I competed in the Grimsthorpe Gallop as a Nordic Walker. A good mixture of terrain with some hills. Lovely countryside and location. A very well organised and friendly event. I'm looking forward to next year's event and improving my PB.
