← Linlithgow 10k

This is the second time I've done this race; a fun and well organised local race.

The race starts in the centre of the small town of Linlithgow about 15 minutes by train from the centre of Edinburgh. Registration isn't until the Sunday afternoon so it's quite easy to get ti from Edinburgh or Glasgow.

The route itself is essentially a figure if eight, heading west out of Linlithgow and looping back into the centre of town then looping out east before heading back into the centre of town and finishing by the historic and impressive Linlithgow palace.

There are no big hills on the route, but it is quite undulating in a number of places. The route is a combination of roads and pathways, although some of the pathways can get a bit muddy due to the time of year.

The course was very well marshalled and organised, with a water stop about 6k in. There was no medal, although there was a pretty cool long sleeved t shirt.

Overall a good value for money local race and well recommend if you're in the area.
