Would not recommend. There needs to be a contingency run course when half the run is like a pigsty. Some mats out of transition are far preferable to the small puncture inducing stones. Surely some hay to mop up the excess water and mud isn’t too much to ask?The penny pinching and lack of consideration for the athletes will see me avoid at all costs.
