The race was delayed by 1 hour so much to my annoyance I had a very long wait.
the race brief was very good..
the course was a 2 lap thing so the first lap was a taster and the second was survival of the fittest, mud slides, bogs, just my idea of hell.
plenty of race nutrition 3 feed stations with high 5 drink, water, gels, banana and more. Probably best selection I have seen at a half.
the next bit isn't so great, I was pacing 2hr and ended up running nearer 14 miles so basically my pacing was a waste of time.
the finish line was a happy sight.
medal is small and rubbish, but food available at the finish line was great, melon, cake, drink, waffles, banana..
i think this race is more geared up for the triathlon so the half sort of takes a back seat, no pacer t shirts, bag drop was tiny.
