Sandman what can I say? Second time competing in this race, it is the most beautiful challenging triathlon!
Out and back Sea swim, beach run start into very choppy waters during the high tide, the bike leg starts with a climb out of the forest, along local open roads, considerate local traffic means there are few close passing vehicles.
Descent into the forest and back to T2 switch into trail shoes for the run leg, through beautiful pine forest, up through the leg sapping sand dunes onto the beach for that sprint finish !
No wonder it’s sold out, glorious location, friendly Marshall’s and a fantastic day out.
