← Run Reigate Half Marathon,10K,5K & Kids

I absolutely loved this race. It was my first time running here (I ran the half marathon)and I cannot fault it at all.

The course itself is beautiful. And before I knew it I had hit 7 miles and couldn’t quite believe it.

The start was a tad congested but it spread out comfortably fairly quickly.
It is a tough course but manageable. The marshals were absolutely brilliant. Especially in the last 2 miles with that lovely, oh so lovely hill. The number of times I saw marshals (even some staff I think from a local gym) run along the side of the road to help struggling runners up the hill was very heartwarming to see.

Considering that we are running on country roads I was really impressed with the numbers of locals who were out supporting runners, and marshal supervision was spot on.
The race village was very easy to find and can only be described as amazing. The variety of food and drinks available (especially for a race this size) was the best I’ve ever seen. There were plenty of things to do for family members (especially kids) who were waiting for their loved ones. You didn’t feel like you were stood waiting in a field. I have been to much larger races with far less, and I think other race organisers could really learn a lot from Reigate.

The starting pens were very well organised and should real thought for the runners experience.

I also really enjoyed having the marshals along side the finishing straight, it really spurred me on when I wasn’t sure I had much left.

Overall this was a really great experience and I can really tell why it is so highly rated. While it is a tough course don’t let that put you off running it. It is an amazing day and well worthwhile.

Thank you so much for the amazing review Alison- we are glad you enjoyed the race so much and hope to see you next year! - RUN SERIES
