I've run this race before and this was my second year personal pacing.
The knavesmire is a great place to start and finish. The bag drop is well organised and the course pretty. HOWEVER, and this is a big gripe. As the numbers increase - this year was 6,000 plus PLEASE, PLEASE race organisers get your toilets sorted out. The queues were appauling. Yes, toilets cost money but surely this is a basic requirement.
The course is really interesting with lots to see but, if you dont like city running then its not for you. The course twists and turns with some bottkle necks so beware but you will see a huge range in ability running wise which is always lovely.
Will I go back? yes, but only to pace.
Last word - TOILETS!
