I entered the sprint distance and travelled on my own without support. Its a popular event with lots of distances on offer on the day which meant that despite leaving early to get there struggled to find a place to park. ended up quite a way away and hadnt anticipated cycling in with all my kit (I'm new to this so a learn for me) Registration was efficient and large transition. Were given plenty of time to get in the water before starting. hadnt done a huge amount of OWS but lake was fine - I had a great swim and shoutout to the photographer who actually got a great photo of my smiling exiting the swim! Bike is quite undulating and lumpy. I remember the weather was atrocious to start with so I was glad to only be doing the sprint! marshalls were fantastic and route clearly marked. the run wasnt flat! but off road and laps meant you were always passing supporters. A well organised event but having to pack all my stuff up after the event and cycle back to the car was a bit miserable.
