← Marlow 7

There are quite a few races near to where I live so when I saw this I thought why not, even though there were hills involved. The race HQ was located at Marlow Cricket Club a small distance from the start of the race in neighbouring Higginson park. It was well organised, registration was reasonably quick and easy. As the start line is a little further away from the HQ, I decide to take a bin liner to keep me warm bearing in mind it was November. There were two distances to choose from, 7-miles or half marathon, both started at the same time.  A solid warm-up from a fitness trainer took place, and most people seemed to take part. After the warm-up everyone walked through to Higginson park where the start of the race was. I took part in the 7-mile run, although hilly, the 3-4 hills are in the first half of the race so its downhill all the way for the second half. I really enjoyed this run and would definitely do it again. There was an enjoyable atmosphere on the day, it was well organised plus you received a good quality long sleeve training top, a large medal upon completion which at the time was my favourite to date.

Hi Duncan, Thank you so much for your review of our event. It's always great to get feedback, especially of the "positive" kind ! Entries are open for the 2019 MHM and M7 and to date both are showing significantly increased interest to our (record) entries in 2018. You'll also be delighted to know that the START in 2019, as in 2018 will be from the bridge across the Thames by "The Compleat Angler" ... followed by a five hundred metre dash up marlow High Street and then in to the lovely Chiltern countryside. I hope we see you again in November ..... Kind regards, Mike Thompson - MHM/M7 Race Director http://www.marlowhalf.marlowstriders.co.uk/index.html Much appreciate your review .... hope you'll be entering again on November 7th, 2021! - Marlow Striders
