← Hell-Fire Half Marathon/10k

As with a lot of races, you could choose two distance options 10k and a half marathon. The race starts from Adams Park at Wycombe Wanderers Football Club. Plenty of allocated parking was available at the back of business leading up to the stadium. There didn’t seem to be that many people taking part, to be honest.

The run is a mixed terrain, but mainly off road run which briefly takes you through West Wycombe Park, a wooded area, fields, and back to the stadium along the pavement. Quite a challenging course, with a couple of hills to tackle.  You had to be careful in some parts as some of the terrain was uneven and a little tricky.  The route seemed well marshalled, and you were encouraged throughout.

As you entered the stadium commentary was being made over the PA system. Great fun when sprinting towards the finish line. At the end, I received a T-shirt, goody bag, and not too shabby medal.

Would I do it again? Possibly, if I was looking for something local and fancied a bit of a challenge!
