This was my 4th year in a row doing this race and it has always been my favourite race.
This year was a bit too busy in terms of the toilet queues and bag drop. The bag drop this year was just on the grass. It even under a tent so a good job it didn’t rain.
The race itself was good and just the few gold ups on course where people just stopped in from of you or cut you up to see people they knew watching.
I was able to get my medal and bag at the finish but I did notice a number of people wearing medals who were about at the finish line and I hope they were not being dishonest and getting a second bag and medal so as to deprive others.
It appears they oversold the race which is hard to believe but that’s seems to be the case.
I hope they compensate those runners who missed out on their hard earned reward with a free race next year.
I will be back as it was the first race I ever did but they have work to do for next year.
