← Vitality London 10,000

The London 10k was one of the first running events that I took part in since starting running. I ran it in 2013 & 2014 when it was called the Bupa London 10k. This was the first time that I've ran it under its Vitality sponsorship. The organising company still remains as London Marathon Events Ltd and there is nothing to fault the general organisation of the event. The route has changed slightly - the start and finish remain the same but they've eliminated Victoria Embankmant from the course - likely due to a Westminster Council request - the course instead now goes down the Strand, Fleet Street and Whitehall.

The start/finish area in Green Park was well signposted and organised, baggage drop-off/pickup was easy and exiting the park afterwards was easy. Another change since 2013/14 is that the finsihers t-shirt is now a technical t-shirt instead of a cotton one.

This is a great event for anyone looking for a closed road central London running event on a bank holiday.
