This is my second year doing this race.  I live in London but this is easy to get to by public transport because the start and finish is only a 10 minute walk from Three Bridges station.  The set-up in Southgate Park yesterday was great; loads of catering options, celebrity starters, BA crew handing out jelly beans, efficient bag drop.   The only thing that let it down was the lack of loos which resulted in massive queues.  The start was a bit chaotic, the pens needed a better flow and the start line wasn't obvious but once we were away the course was well marked and largely flat with one hill two thirds in, and another at the finish.  There was a bit of running through the town centre but quite soon we were away from the built up bits and it was more scenic.  Water stations every three miles with small plastic bottles.  There were bins but an awful lot of bottles in the road and I didn't feel comfortable about the amount of plastic waste so this is an area for improvement.

The finish is a left turn just after the top of a hill; personally I would like a change so it is either the top of the hill or give us chance to recover and then a proper sprint finish.  Susie Chan giving finishers a name check at the end was a really nice touch and the support crew throughout the race were great.

This year's medal was the same for all races, last year the ribbon was different for the half and I think that was better.

Overall, I really like the course and the buzz in Southgate Park at the end was great - just needs a few minor tweaks.
