We found out about this race after noticing the t-shirt at another event. We then managed to get a place, which wasn't easy. Come race day, we were queueing in the freezing cold for what seemed like a very long time for the park and ride bus to the start area. Once at the start area, no one seemed to know what was going on, there were people going in all sorts of directions and queues everywhere. Eventually, we realised that we had to go in to the sportshall. The sports hall is the worst organised single component of any event I have ever attended. There are people queuing in three different directions, you can't move, it was horrific. Eventually, we got to the start line. The course was OK, the medal was fantastic, but then we needed to get our bags back and that meant we had to return to the dreaded sports hall. It's a shame that one part of the event ruined the whole experience for our party.
