A great way to end the year with a fantastic atmosphere and fun race.

This was my 3rd Nos Galan race having previously run in 2017 and 2011.

Great evening for runners and supporters with a fireworks display before the Elite race. The Elite race has loads of top athletes so it's great watching them and getting inspired before the fun run starts.

The course had been amended slightly from previous years and now included 4 laps instead of 3. This did mean the laps went by quite quickly although it did also mean there was even more congestion that usual. The important thing to remember is that this is a fun run but for some of the front runners, it did mean by half ways through the second lap, you were already overtaking other runners and adding to the congestion particularly in the out and back section with runners on either side of the road. The organisers may want more of the speedy ones signing up for the Elite race to avoid this as in comparison the Elite race is quite small with minimal congestion.

Overall, a great atmosphere and a great way to end the year.
