Second year running this event and much improved on their inaugural last year where there were issues with the park and ride and baggage queues which ended up delaying the start of the races. No such problems this year. No queues for baggage. Plenty of toliets with minimal queues beforehand.

The starting pens were well organised and maanged to get away quickly with no issues. The race itself isn't the most scenic with expection of running over the bridge but makes up for it by being super flat and fast with the only slight incline being over the bridge itself. Although it's not for everyone, I enjoyed the out and back section between 6-7K as a nice distraction to see the faster runners on the other side of the course and then encourage runners behind after the turnaorund.

The goody bag was decent which is becoming a rare occurence in most races and particularly in some of the larger events like this one. Banana and water straight after the finish and no congestion when collect medal and good quality tech t-shirt.

There were over 40 runners from my club running the event and didn't hear any negative comments from anyone from our first runner to our final finisher.

Will more than likely be returning year after year.
