I had heard about this race the year before through stories of a great goody bag. When I realised it was a case of fastest fingers first to get a place I knew it might not happen! Luckily for me, hubby was on the ball when I was out running with the girls and booked our spaces

On the day we parked up and got the coaches in (as advised on website) slight delay by the coach company meant a few grumbles but once we got to race hq all was fine.

The goody bag was certainly a highlight with tshirt, rucksack, event clips, buff, cap, towel, socks plus a variety of snacks and other freebies. Can't complain at that!

Toilets were really well organised ( a massive help especially just before the start!)

We then wandered to start pens and the atmosphere was really friendly. We were off!

The support from cadets along the way was fantastic, especially one girl in particular who gave it her all cheering everyone on, there was a lot of positive comments about her on the fb page following the event. Luckily the weather was kind  to us, however along the sea front could have been treacherous had the weather been awful.

Some bands along the way added to the atmosphere and then back to finish line with fruit and drinks available.

Well marshalled collecting bags from drop off point and back onto coach to car park.

Oh and I got a PB, still chasing that sub 60 but I'm pleased and will certainly do this race again (along as I can get a place!!!)
