My 1st London Marathon

As the title suggests this was indeed my 1st London Marathon and my expectations were not to be disappointed. I ran for a charity so started my campaign way back last October.

With every month that past the excitement grew then I had the email to go collect my race pack from the ExCell in London with the Mega Bus booked off I went to get my pack dispite the hundreds of people there I was amazed at just how easy the process was.

I walked in and was made welcome by the marshals I collected my pack and made my way credit card in hand ready to purchase my keep sales. Yes it's rather expensive merchandise but if you thought running was a cheap sport you will know by now it's not.

I was made to feel like a rock star at the ExCell with company after company wanting to take my photos it was fantastic.

Getting to and from the ExCell was total painless.

On race day I was pleased to note train fare is free but be warned it's only until 5pm. I started in the red zone5 after a short wait for zones 1 to 4 to leave Greenwich Park it was my turn.

I stepped over the start mat my run had begun.  The crowds oh my the crowds were fantastic. The stewards were in plenty of supply the 1st raiders were also on every area. Plenty of water stations and gels etc. Toilets were surprising clean considering there was over 42,000 running.

The landmarks yes theres cutty sark tower bridge big Ben etc I loved seeing Billings gate market and areas around the isle of dogs.

Fellow runners were also supportive which helps when you need it.

Only issue I had was at the finish they had ran out of Large shirts but this wont stop me rating the Marathon 5 Stars

If theres a Marathon to do then pick this one London Marathon you were amazing thank you
