This is my home town race. After the disappointment of 2018 being cancelled last minute due to the snow, it was nice to get going again. I trained hard for this one and please do say I hit a PB in the time of 1:34:40. As for the event itself, I’m a little biased as it’s my home town but the course is good. Perfect PB material and it’s always nice finishing in the stadium. My only gripes are there wasn’t nearly enough toilets this year. Queues were way too long. Also Reading is an expensive race and the goodie bag sucks tbh. Most races give out a tech t-shirt but Reading still give out a horrible cotton one. Considering the price and the corporate sponsorship they have you’d think they could manage a decent goodie bag.
