← Leeds & Liverpool Canal Canter

Spring Canal Canter is a race I've done before. Race numbers were collected on the day at a local working men's club - all quick and easy. There was a 10min walk to the start line. Baggage store was near start line. Race had all distances from 5k to Ultra so suits all abilities - I ran the marathon. Course was run entirely on canal paths. Most of the route was run on decent quality paths. It featured an out and back, followed by another out and back in the opposite direction. It was pretty flat, apart from isual canal locks. Overall, it's a fast course with PB possibilities. Aid stations were every 3miles or so. Finishers received a nice medal, chocolate, beer and the usual table of home baked cakes. This is a trait of all Grim Up North races. In summary- Fantastic day. Lovely to see so many achieving great things over all the distances. Marshals were awesome. It was a top event. I'll look forward to the next one.

Awesome feedback thank you 😀 - Its Grim Up North Running
