Windy!!!! One word to decrive this year’s race. In 35+ years of running I’ve never known anything like it. The organisers and marshals did am amazing job of coping with it. Trees down across the route on the way out had been chainsawed up and moved by the time we came back (it’s an out and back course). Scouts, Brownies etc doing aid stations were wonderful and the Scout Hut bag storage with post race cup of tea to be commended. The race feels a little old school - in a good way. Friendly and welcoming; a few small logistical things to look at but nothing major. Oh, and it is about as flat as can be so without the wind it would be very fast (for others, not me).
