Signed up for the 20 mile race last minute as I was visiting the in-laws in Rye, and had a race pace training run for London to do anyway, so thought, why not? Didn't really know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. Very flat course, very fast. Well organised (more toilets this year, which apparently has been a bug bear the last few years). The marshals were really friendly and supportive. Great medal as well. Very happy with my race day experience

Really great low-key half marathon, with a very fast course. Excellent pre-event info to head off any problems. No dedicated changing area so advised to arrive in your running clothes - no problem there, very good bag drop run by the Scouts. Very specific parking info as such a s...

Really great low-key half marathon, with a very fast course. Excellent pre-event info to head off any problems. No dedicated changing area so advised to arrive in your running clothes - no problem there, very good bag drop run by the Scouts. Very specific parking info as such a small, congested town - again, no problem there. The course was technically open to motor traffic although i only encountered 3 cars during the second half, who were all super slow and very respectful of the runners so no issue there at all. Will definitely enter again, thank you Brett Lydd!

The only issue is the toilets, as it is each year. I don't ever remember it starting on time. You probably need double the amount of toilets that you currently have. Improve on that abd it will make it so much better 👍

The whole race event was very well organised from start to finish and the course itself was beautiful. Very friendly atmosphere with the Marshalls and volunteers on water aid stations. The medal was gorgeous as well, my only feedback for improvement would be to introduce starting waves instead of all going off at once it will help break up the bottlenecking at start of the event, will definitely be back next year though!

Overall a fantastic event, should be proud of yourselves! Pre Event communication fantastic, plenty of parking. While there was a lot of toilets, demand was clearly exceeded so in future you will require more (appreciate they’re not cheap). Event registration all good and well managed. Also very bottled neck for the 1.5km, prehaps a system where there’s flags with predicted times, might stagger it slightly however not completely the end of the world. Medal was fantastic, done plenty of races and this was the best one in the last 12 months. People don’t appreciate what goes on behind the scenes and should be proud of yourselves, little improvements but any events require them. Post race, well looked after - thank you/ see you next year.
