The race was initially scheduled for March however weather conditions overnight the night before put pay to that. The race was cancelled at around 6am of the day of the race. Thankfully we didnt have to travel but it would have been frustrating if we had been coming from far away with the decision being left that late. The race was moved to June, a complete contrast to a snowy day in March, it was roasting and a little undulating. The route was pretty scenic and ended off on a country lane which felt a little odd but it seemed to work out ok. I think I would have preferred doing this race if it was in March, the heat and the course took its toll over the second half of the race. Decent goodybag with medal and t-shirt. It was also another good racecheck turnout on the day. Possibly one to do in the future but the cost is a little high.
